On 29.09.2022, the Shotokan Karate World Championship among adults was held in the Czech Republic in the city of Karlovy Vary. In total, about 2000 athletes from 60 countries took part in the championship. The 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Mechanics and Oil and Gas Engineering of the M.Auezov South Kazakhstan University, Alzhanov Beksultan, won the 2nd place in the 78kg weight category under the Kumite program.
