On April 14, 2025, the "Open Day" event was held in the assembly hall of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, organized by the Faculty of Mechanics and Oil and Gas Engineering and the Higher School of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. The event was aimed at high school graduates from the Turkistan region and the city of Shymkent, students of the "Pre-University Training Center" of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, as well as college graduates.

During the meeting, the Deputy Director of the Career Guidance Center, Nurgali Uteuliev, introduced the graduates to the main principles of the Unified National Testing and the application process for participation in the competition for a state educational grant. The Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Oil and Gas Engineering, Raimberdi Rysdauletov, presented the faculty’s educational programs. Special guests — Regional Director of the RMC "KazStandard" Saken Beiseev and Director of LLP "Munaygazproekt" Farid Ibragimov — emphasized the importance and relevance of engineering education today and its high demand in society.

The event provided comprehensive information about the faculty’s educational programs and included a tour of the academic buildings, where visitors were introduced to the departments and their material and technical resources. During the event, the faculty dean and department heads answered questions from the audience and invited attendees to enroll in the educational programs.
