As part of collaboration with the Belarusian State Technological University, the "Technological Machines and Equipment" department has organized a series of lectures for students, master's, and doctoral students, conducted by invited professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Alexander Eduardovich Levdansky. The lectures cover a wide range of modern scientific and practical issues related to polymer material utilization, waste processing, and the improvement of classification and recycling technologies.
The lecture series began on December 3, 2024, and includes the following topics:
- Challenges of polymer material disposal, environmental aspects, and international legislation.
- Methods and equipment for material separation, including mechanical classification, gravitational, and dynamic classifiers.
- Recycling of polymeric and composite materials, including mechanical, thermal, chemical, and biological approaches.
- Waste shredding and blending technologies, innovative methods for modifying and granulating secondary polymers.
- Prospective processing technologies, such as pyrolysis, gasification, and landfill organization using self-degradable materials.
Special attention is given to the latest advancements in selective grinding of glass-filled materials and flotation separation of plastic waste using surfactants.
The lectures, held throughout December 2024, have attracted not only students and master's candidates but also faculty members interested in deepening their knowledge of modern recycling and waste processing approaches.
The "Technological Machines and Equipment" department expresses its gratitude to Professor Levdansky for his contribution to the development of the educational process and invites everyone to participate in upcoming events.
