M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University announces admission for the 2020-2021 academic year in the education sphere 6B07–«Engineering, proccessing and contruction branches» with training direction 6B071–«Engineering and engineering business», the educational program group code В064 – «Mechanics and metalworking», for the following new educational programs:        

6В07120 – Machine Engineering;

6В07121-Machine Engineering           Technology;

6В07122 - Foundry Engineering and Metal Forming;

6В07123-Design and Organization of Welding Production.

The chair has a 76-year history and extensive ties with universities in Germany, France, Poland, Austria, Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. It has a powerful material and technical base, a strong teaching staff (6 doctors of technical sciences, 2 PhD doctors, 10 candidates of technical sciences).

 Students are trained in a dual education system and undergo practical training at leading engineering enterprises equipped with modern equipment: Kardanval JSC, Kazmedpribor Holding LLP, KARLSKRONA LC AB LLP, Elektroapparat JSC, KazGeomash LLP, Kentau Transformer Plant JSC, YuKMZ JSC, Lenger Machine-Building Plant JSC, ShymkentEtalon Plant, Azia Trafo LLP, KAZ KIOTI - Kazakhstan Tractor Plant LLP, etc.

Alumni of the educational program group code B064-“Mechanics and metalworking” are awarded the academic degree “Bachelor of Engineering and Technology”.

 In 2019, the educational programs 6В071200 - "Machine Engineering" and 7M071200 - "Machine Engineering" passed specialized accreditation at the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education in 2019 (IQAA). 

Specialties 6В07120 and 7М07120 – "Machine Engineering" of M. Auezov SKSU took the 2^nd place according to the results of the rating studies of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) "Rating – 2018", and according to the results of the IQAA "National rating of RK – 2019" took the 1^st  place.

Alumni of the educational program group code B064-“Mechanics and metalworking” are in demand in such sectors of the economy as:

- aerospace machinery;

- automative (railway, automobile) engineering;

- agriculture machinery and equipment;

- oil and gas industry;

- mining;

- chemical engineering;

- energy industry;

- educational institutions of higher and secondary education;

- food-processing and light industry;

- heavy engineering;

- designing modern equipment based on computer modeling and production management of parts for general and special purposes, as well as in the production of consumer goods and all repair and restoration industries 

 In 2019, in the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1953 state grants were allocated for the group of educational programs B064 - "Mechanics and metalworking", including 80 grants for the shortened form of training – for college alumni.

Specialized subjects are mathematics and physics.
